Figuring out Buyer Behavior Part 2
I know I was supposed to stay in the same segment however I could not get ahold of more than one organization before Wednesday of this week and since I cannot interview the same people/ organizations I decided to interview individuals who have received treatment from Physical or Occupational therapy.
1st Interview: I interviewed my boss who has been going to physical therapy every day for the past couple of weeks. I asked him how he chose which place to go to in town and he said that he relied on asking people he knew who have gone through PT before. He said that price does matter but that whether or not it is effective or not is the most important. He talked about how he hurt his shoulder and that it is important that it heals in a timely manner.
2nd Interview: I asked my uncle about his experience with occupational therapy. He is a low income veteran so his only option was the VA. He talked about his experiences with the VA and mentioned that their quality varies but that they are usually good. He mentioned how he shattered his hand and that the OT’s help him be able to use it again. He said he is satisfied with a service like this when the providers are understanding and patient, but also effective.
3rd Interview: I talked to my massage therapists who has been going to a holistic OT in town. She said usually she is looking for someone who is a professional with experience but also someone who takes the time to look at all the factors going on in a person’s life to better allow them to heal through their services. She mentioned that when she was looking for an OT to go to she really looked for someone who met her needs whatever the price.
Conclusions: Although refugees may not have a choice, as long as the services are quality services, I have found that people will be satisfied. With refugees it is a bit difficult because no one receiving treatment is actually paying for it. Certain projects would be funded by the UN and it's sub organizations.
Hi Tommy;
ReplyDeleteI found it a bit difficult to understand your conclusion. I believe this is because you interviewed a specific segment and then tried to conclude for the segment you were supposed to interview. In other words, you interviewed individuals who have received treatment from physical or occupational therapy and decided to make conclusions for refugees. However, I believe you still were able to get some valuable information on your interviews, such as what matters the most when your interviewees make a purchase (price, quality, etc.) For the future, I would make the conclusion based on the content and subject of your interviews. Go Gators!
Tommy, good job being innovative and thinking outside the box when conducting interviews. All of the interviews claimed that quality of the service is above anything else, when it comes to therapy. Drawing a conclusion from that, though your service is a free service for the refugees, make sure your service thrives and lives by keeping up with its quality of service. Good job.
ReplyDeleteHi its Avery!
ReplyDeleteI work at a spa as you know, and we get a lot of guests that are coming in after a car crash, or a sugery of some sort. Everyone is grateful for what the massage therapists do to help them recover. We also have a few set of client's whose treatments are covered by insurace aswell, maybe look into day spas for further research if its relevant!
